Nelore breed with painted coat is new at AgroPonte

The 13th edition of AgroPonte aims to unite the agricultural sectors, family agriculture, industries and technology in just one environment. In this year, the fair runs until Sunday, is 18 of August, at the José Ijair Conti Exhibition Pavilion, in Criciúma. Over 250 exhibitors from Santa Catarina, São Paulo, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul, the event has 30 thousand square meters of area.

In this year, the fair has something new that came from the city of Morrinho do Sul (RS). Two Nelore cattle with painted coats. This is the first time that these animals have been found at AgroPonte. “This is the second year we are exhibiting at the event. It's a time to do business and especially to meet the people involved in the sector”, comments the owner of Scarpari Farm and owner of the animals, Alencar Scarpari.

Scarpari is the owner of 100 animals, however, he says that with the painted coat he only has two cattle. “It is a breed that is growing a lot in the market and, Of course, their main difference is their coat, that has another type of color”, stands out.

Scarpari compliant, the Nelore coat breed is growing and highly sought after and, that's why, gives the opportunity to be at AgroPonte. “These cattle have 18 months, but I bought it in Paraná”, stresses.

In addition to the Nelore breed, the fair welcomes 220 bovinos PO (Pure of Origin) e PC (Pure by Cruza), sheep and goats, 40 horses, rabbit farmers with rabbits and similar, stingless fish and bees. The fair will also welcome the heaviest Brahman breed ox in Brazil.

“It's a great time for agribusiness, not only from Santa Catarina, but also from all over the country, because sales and commercialization of animals occur throughout Brazil. Furthermore, It's a great opportunity for the population to get to know these cattle and understand farming and the demands of the countryside. We welcome audiences of all ages and AgroPonte becomes a reference so that we can bring knowledge to everyone”, observes the director of NossaCasa Feiras & Events and founder of AgroPonte, Willi Backes.
The public will still be able to visit 42 family farming cooperatives, industries, machine dealers and dealerships, tractors, combines, equipment, tools, technologies and inputs for production in agribusiness and livestock.
