Brahman race: heaviest bull in Brazil will be on display at AgroPonte

AgroPonte will have a special guest: the heaviest Brahman bull in Brazil will be on display at the fair. At six years old, he weighs 1.362 kilos and belongs to Adilor Pedro Viana, from Cabanha Talisman, from Içara, in the south of Santa Catarina. The event takes place from 14 a 18 August at the José Ijair Conti Exhibition Pavilion, in Criciúma (SC). The 13th edition of the fair brings together the agribusiness sectors, family agriculture, industries and technology.

“This bull reached this weight due to genetics. At the moment, he is the heaviest bull in Brazil in the Brahman Breed, although, from Santa Catarina is the heaviest of all breeds”, explains the owner of Cabanha Talismã.

To transport the bull, appointed from PVT 115 MR Falcao, up to AgroPonte there is a whole logistics. "Not an easy task, we have difficulty due to the weight and size. We put together a strategy and it goes in a kind of ‘cart’”, comment. “We take great care of him., we treat him carefully. This bull has a lot of genetics and we take great care of it too. It is important to highlight that he has this weight due to genetics.”, adds.

AgroPonte exhibitors from 2015, Cabanha Talismã will once again be at the fair and visitors will be able to meet the bull. “It is an animal that will be on display and, for sure, people will be surprised by its size.”, stresses.

For the director of NossaCasa Feiras & Events and founder of AgroPonte, Willi Backes, have the heaviest Brahman bull in Brazil at the fair, shows the importance of the event for the entire South of the State. “It is time to unite the countryside with the city and show how strong the state is in the agribusiness sectors, family agriculture, industries and technology. The event space will have more than 30 thousand square meters, receiving pure origin cattle (AFTER) and pure by crossing (PC) of countless races, horses, sheep, goats, stingless bees, rabbits and fish. The public will be able to visit 42 family farming cooperatives, industries, machine dealers and dealerships, tractors, combines, equipment, tools, technologies and inputs for production in agribusiness, Agriculture and Livestock.
