AgroPonte: from pitaya beer to the only cachaça in Brazil, visitors find products with unique flavors

The city of Criciúma is hosting the 13th edition of AgroPonte, fair that brings together the agricultural sectors, family agriculture, industries and technology. are more than 250 exhibitors from Santa Catarina, São Paulo, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul. Non-event, which has 30 thousand square meters of area, visitors can still see the 42 family farming cooperatives that brought exclusive products.

 

Participating in AgroPonte for the first time, the owners of the company Caminho das Pitayas, from Grão-Pará, they brought a pitaya beer to the fair. Furthermore, they produce jams and liqueurs. “We have two thousand pitaya trees and 28 fruit varieties. Beer is a big novelty at the fair. We harvest the fruit and have the drink produced in the city of Orleans”, account Suzana Ferrarezi Custódio Gazinski, company owner.

 

Suzana says that the objective of creating pitaya products was to not waste the fruits. “We wanted to take advantage of the fruit that doesn't go to market, therefore, we create beer and liquor. We still have a restaurant where we use pitaya as a base for various desserts and dishes.”, reports.

 

The entrepreneur emphasizes that this is the first time they have participated in AgroPonte. “We always hear good things about the fair and we had the opportunity to participate and, that's why, we came. We hope for good results at the end of the event”, stresses.

 

Valdemir Borghezan, also from Grão-Pará, is the owner of the company Borghezan, has been working for 16 years with the manufacture of cachaças and brought a unique drink to AgroPonte.

 

“We also work with the line of liqueurs and have 13 options and four types of cachaça. We have a cachaça that only ours has, because it is stored in a barrel of 800 liters made with Tajuva wood. We registered the brand and only we manufacture the cachaça in this barrel. The wood is taken from the slopes of Serra Catarinense”, highlights.

 

This cachaça participated in the Spirits Selection competition, in Brussels, in Belgium, and won the gold medal for best drink, This competition is the most renowned in the world. “We are the only producer in the world to store cachaça in this wood, which is native to the region. Cachaça Tajuva has 700ml stored in tajuva barrels for a period of two years. Com 40% alcohol content, It's a light drink, pleasant flavor, in addition to having a slightly sweet taste, thanks to the wood in which it is aged. The medicinal product of this wood is healing and is from the aroeira family.”, adds.

 

The commercial director of NossaCasa Feiras e Eventos and organizer of AgroPonte, Jacqueline Backes, noted that the event is diverse and, that's why, receives so much public. “AgroPonte has more than 250 displays with different products, machinery, animals, technology, in addition to a program of lectures, seminars, Business roundtable, among other events parallel to the fair”, affirms.

 

Tickets

 

Access to the AgroPonte Fair can occur in two ways: with the invitations distributed by exhibitors (free access) or by purchasing tickets at the event receptions or on the website (Click here) not value of R$20.

 

Minors 12 years old have free access to all areas, as long as they are accompanied by those responsible. Invited visitors also have free access.

 

Half-price is available for Students (Official UNE card, UBES, WEEKS. Card issued by a group or association of high school or higher education students), Elderly (with presentation of the Identity Card), People with disabilities (in accordance with Federal Law no. 13.146/2015), State network teachers (Lei Nº 16.448/2014).
