AgroPonte: Hydroponic cultivation allows planting without using soil

Plantar, cultivate and harvest without the need for land. It seems strange, but it is possible through hydroponic cultivation. This technique is widely used for vegetable production., fruits and vegetables and can be carried out both on a domestic scale, as on a commercial scale. The roots of the plant are submerged in a solution that contains all the necessary nutrients considering the species cultivated., the growth stage, lighting and ambient temperature. The company Sanga Funda Agro, from Içara, brought the technique to the 13th edition of AgroPonte. The fair takes place at the José Ijair Conti Exhibition Pavilion, in Criciúma.

Commercial manager and agronomist, Bruno Henrique Novak, account that the technique requires constant monitoring of the environment, both two nutrients used, as well as lighting and temperature. “The hydroponics sector is a market that has been around for a long time, but it's been about five years since it stood out a little more. We don't need to plant in the open field, We were able to do all of this in the water reuse system, placing fertilizers, fertilizers in the water and this is being reused. It is a very profitable technique”, Explain.

Novak explains that the climate directly influences cultivation and, that's why, the system helps. “Now thinking about our climate too, we are having a year with bad weather, i.e., lots of rain or dry weather, inside the greenhouse, with a hydroponic system we were able to harvest, Sometimes the cycle takes a little longer, But production doesn't stop”, ensures. “We have many producers with pest and disease problems and in the greenhouse we can produce and avoid this problem”, adds.

How the hydroponic system works?

The nutrient solution used in hydroponics is not pure water, as it contains nutrients for plants. Cultivation is done inside greenhouses or smaller structures. “We put all the nutrients, i.e., it circulates within all irrigation channels. It is a proprietary system that is easy to work with and profitable. Today, is an alternative for products that want to enter cultivation, as it is a light service”, stresses.

The hydroponic system is done by automation, everything being controlled by application, the producer does not need to be in the greenhouse. “The purpose of automation is to help producers with labor, that today is so difficult. With automation it is possible to work with technology without the need for an employee, for example”, comment.

The director of NossaCasa Feiras & Events and founder of AgroPonte, Willi Backes, highlighted that the objective of the fair is to show visitors and exhibitors services that help in the agricultural sectors, family agriculture, industries and technology. “We have more than 250 exhibitors with services, products that can help old demands. It's good to see that companies are working on solutions and, this way, can find these technologies that are so important for agribusiness”, observa.

AgroPonte

The fair continues until this Sunday, is 18. In this year, AgroPonte has 220 bovinos PO (Pure of Origin) e PC (Pure by Cruza), sheep and goats, 40 horses, rabbit farmers with rabbits and similar, stingless fish and bees. The fair also hosts the heaviest Brahman breed ox in Brazil.

The public will still be able to visit 42 family farming cooperatives, industries, machine dealers and dealerships, tractors, combines, equipment, tools, technologies and inputs for production in agribusiness, Agriculture and Livestock.
