Largest AgroPonte Fair in history takes shape in a 30 mil m²

When the gates of the 15th AgroPonte Fair are opened to the public, on the day 12 of August, Much of the work will have already been completed. Since long before the corridors received visitors, exhibitors and animals, a major operation transforms the surroundings of the José Ijair Conti Pavilion, in Criciúma, in a space entirely dedicated to agribusiness.

According to the director of NossaCasa Feiras e Eventos, Jacqueline Backes, the assembly of the structure for the fair began on the day 20 July and totals more than a thousand people involved in the installation of the spaces. In this year, AgroPonte will occupy 30 thousand square meters, consolidating the biggest edition in its history.

The biggest work is concentrated, at the moment, in the complex destined for the livestock sector. There are four pavilions that, together, add up to around 10 thousand square meters and will house more than 300 animals among cattle, horses, sheep and other species that are part of the fair’s programming.

In addition to these spaces, the structure extends across the José Ijair Conti Pavilion and the Municipal Gymnasium, which will receive the new space A Cultura do Homem do Campo, dedicated to cultural events, to music and regional gastronomy.

According to Jacqueline, Assembly represents an essential step so that everything is ready on the date scheduled for the start of the event. “While many people count the days until the gates open, we are already living the fair. Each assembled structure represents another step towards welcoming thousands of visitors and hundreds of exhibitors. It's work that starts weeks in advance and involves a lot of people”, highlights.

Uma estrutura que cresce junto com a feira

The person following this growth closely is Joelson Cardeal, from the company Cardinal, responsible for assembling the fair's structures. Working at AgroPonte for several years, he saw the event grow and occupy new spaces. “We started by setting up tents, when the fair was small outside, and we explored the spaces. Those who visit the event each year find a different product, a different animal. An automaker is a solutions factory”, affirms.

Second Cardinal, The team's challenge goes beyond installing structures. “Each edition requires planning to transform large areas into environments capable of receiving exhibitors, animals and thousands of visitors safely, comfort and functionality.”

The 15th AgroPonte Fair will be held 12 a 16 of August, at the José Ijair Conti Pavilion, in Criciúma. Considered the largest agribusiness fair in Santa Catarina, the edition of 2026 will gather about 250 exhibiting companies, more of 300 animals, family agriculture, equestrian presentations and the new space A Cultura do Homem do Campo.
