Largest AgroPonte Fair in history opens in Criciúma; closed business bells have already rung

The 15th AgroPonte Fair was officially opened this Wednesday, is 12, at the José Ijair Conti Pavilion, in Criciúma. Considered the biggest edition in the history of the event, the fair has already received its first visitors and has started to move the corridors with demonstrations of public interest and the traditional bells that announce the completion of deals between exhibitors and buyers.

The official opening ceremony brought together state and municipal authorities, representatives of agribusiness entities, exhibitors and fair partners. For the creator of the fair and director of Nossacasa Feiras e Eventos, Willi Backes, the event fulfills the objective for which it was created: connect agriculture, livestock, family agriculture, technology, industry and culture to the city, in a single environment.

“In the beginning and to this day, the bridge between production and the rural environment and the city is built, maintained and expanded by people and collective organizations. There is 17 years, we spent two years discussing, planning and researching to achieve the fair profile we wanted to build for the future. Today, We see that this bridge continues to grow and increasingly connect the countryside and the city”, reinforces Backes.

The Mayor of Criciúma, Vagner Espíndola, also highlighted the relationship between the organization of the AgroPonte Fair and the municipality. According to him, the initiative has a regional character and seeks to strengthen not only the event, but the entire region. “When they look for City Hall, when they look for the State Government, never ask for yourself, It's always for the fair, for the region”, stated.

Diverse programming continues until Sunday

Over the next few days, the AgroPonte Fair continues with a program aimed at different audiences. Visitors will be able to watch the trials of the Nelore and Brahman breeds, equestrian shows, Equine therapy arena, exposure of more than 300 animals, nearly 250 exhibiting companies, family farming and the new space A Cultura do Homem do Campo, which hosts cultural and musical performances throughout the fair.
