They were the first animals of the breed to arrive in Santa Catarina.. Tiscoski says that his father brought three cattle to Forquilhinha, being the first in the state. “Em 1994, my father brought three animals, two males and one female, but she was pregnant. About the Brahman Race

According to information from the Brazilian Association of Brahman Breeders, em 1915, started the selection of Brahman, when W. J. hudgins bought 40 females descended from animals imported from India. the big push, however, happened when the United States carried out two imports of Zebu from Brazil, em 1923 e 1924. These pioneers were breeders who liked the characteristics of English breeds. (Angus, Hereford e Shorthorn) as meat producers, but could not make them succeed and prevail in the inhospitable subtropical south of the United States.

Judgment of the Brahman Bovine Breed
